Winter Zoo Visit

It has been six days since the temperature has been above freezing. Temperatures have been hovering around 13 degrees with the coldest being -17 degrees one night. Mom has about had it stuffing baby arms and fingers into little coats and gloves only to not fit in the car seat.

This morning the weather reached 27 degrees a promise of a sunny day, it was downright warm compared to the last week. Kids we are going to the zoo!

Ella was fascinated with the ducks and geese. She was very concerned the ducks' feet were cold and whether they should be wearing shoes or not.

Mingling with the bears.

Because the zoo was virtually empty, the peacocks were very aggressive begging for food. This peacock was eyeing Hank's snack trap. We stopped for lunch and had to move because we had seven peacocks bearing down on us.

Running away with the geese, bye Mom!

Hanging with the giraffes.
