It's a Birthday Party!

Hanks official birthday party was placed on hold until we had a little company. Aunt Cary, Uncle DJ, and cousin Kenwyn made the trek from the claw for a few days. Mom fired up some pasta for the kids and a lasagna for the adults and the celebration was in full swing.

The kids got all the prime seats!

Balloons and a messy little man. Look at those two front teeth!

After dinner it was time to open presents.

Hank was right on top of it this time.

As expected, Ella was all to happy to help with the opening.

Mom quickly assembled the first toy while Dad got to work unpacking the remote control car. Ella began plotting which toy she was going to "borrow" first.

The basketball hoop was of interest...but you can see the remote control for the car in Ella's hand, where it stayed for a while. Ella shortly nicknamed it "Mimi the robot car." Not necessarily the masculine name Hank had in mind.

After all the presents were opened, it was time for birthday cake (or cupcakes in this case)!

After a little help with the candle it was time to figure out what all the excitement was all about...

How about that frosting...mmmm....

After flipping the cupcake over, Hank made quick work of the cake in an effort to get back to the frosting.

Let the sugar do its magic!
