Christmas Extravaganza 2010

With birthday presents in recent memory Christmas has arrived. After Christmas Eve mass, there was nothing but excitement for the morning. The Advent Calendars were depleted (we now have unicorns, fairies, cops and robbers) and the kiddos were waiting patiently for Santa's arrival. True to form he came late in the night and low and behold, there was a plethora of presents under the tree.

Naturally all presents would be opened while in pajamas. Here Ella is more than half way through the hunt and looking for the bigger game...

After putting the breaks on Ella (you might notice the red wrapped present) Hank digs in...eerily similar the red and green presents...see below for the results.

Santa had to improvise using a throw from the couch to cover up a present in the dining room...

Ironically the kids came down the stairs in such a flurry that they bypassed the exquisitely wrapped train table in the dining room. Santa had used our existing train tracks to prep for the new engines under the tree!

Those awesomely wrapped presents above...scooters for the kids! I'd say Santa's efforts were well received.

One might wonder, riding a scooter in December in Colorado? Well, we'll have to raise you one; nothing like a Christmas outing to the park! Jack approves.

An afternoon on the swing is always a good way to spend a Christmas.

After a snooze, it was off to the Walsh household for Christmas dinner.
