First Day of Preschool
Today was Ella's first day of drop-off preschool.
We had visited the classroom during orientation on Tuesday. Unbeknownst to Mom the backpack is a very important preschool accessory, Dad and pictures were also supposed to be involved on orientation day. Yet another childhood ritual everyone seemed to know about but Mom. Feeling incredibly guilty Mom set out to find you the best damn backpack out there - no Dora, Spongebob or Elmo will do. You will have to make do with a temporary hiking backpack until yours comes in the mail. Hopefully someday you will forgive me after months of intensive therapy.
Overall the first drop off day went well. Ella was pretty indifferent about going. She has been to school enough to know what to expect, still not excited about being dropped off.
There are eight students in Ella's class with two very brave teachers. Teacher Lynn and Teacher Brenda declared the day a success - everyone had fun and there were no hysterical outbursts.
Smiling in the parking lot.
