Fall Excursion to Breckenridge

With autumn in the air, we thought we'd head up into the mountains for the day. Dad was partial to Breckenridge, and with Mom's online researching we had plenty of activities for the day. There was a little chill in the air, just enough to justify a fleece in the morning.

After a short drive, less than 2 hours is a breeze compared to a jaunt to Nebraska; we arrived just as everything was opening up for the day. We parked downtown and began meandering around.

There is a nice stream cutting through town with several areas for the opportunistic family to snap some pictures.

Our big girl insists on walking on her own...and checking the comfort of each bench along the way. She does hold hands when crossing the street without incident (most of the time).

There was a lot of discussion about a boat in the little lake...

Hank was all smiles
Well we did not really get any pictures with the fall foliage, but we managed to get both the boys...

And the entire family (thanks to another family).

After strolling around town for a couple hours (Ella had a winter hat purchased on her behalf), we headed to a family friendly restaurant/arcade called Earls. They had plenty of distractions for Ella and plenty of TV's for college football for dad.

Naptime was the perfect opportunity for a drive back down the hill to the Ranch....
