A Stroll Through the Garden of the Gods

Sunday we took a trip down the Colorado Springs to walk through Garden of the Gods, a Colorado national landmark with beautiful rock formations. Toddler crankiness led to a rocky start but eventually Ella warmed up to running the trails, exploring the rocks and searching for bugs.

Our trip home Dad wanted to try a new way back. Unfortunately the map did not indicate the 10 miles of the state route home would be an unpaved, one lane road through the mountains. Thank goodness the kids napped through the excursion. Ella doesn't tolerate bumpy rides, the shopping cart in the parking lot causing much screaming. Dad definitely fulfilled the family "adventure points" for awhile.
