First thing Easter Morning, the Dad's were tasked with hiding the eggs...being Nebraska in April, it was a bit chilly for an outdoor hunt; so the first floor was the target area.
Dad remembered (or was reminded) it's important to hide in accordance with the age of our search party...

Happy-go-lucky, still in PJ's, and finding eggs left and right!

You can see how well hidden the eggs were...

After clearing the floor, it was time to see what surprises were inside!

Grandma Sharon wanted to make sure that Ella did not go without an actual Easter Bunny...we'll add it to the growing assortment of stuffed animals.

After a relaxing morning with friends, we headed out to Aunt Joan & Uncle Stan's farm for what has become an Easter tradition. What would a trip to Nebraska be without a farm?
Round 2 of Easter egg hunting for the kids...Grandma Sharon did the guiding this go around...

...while Hank chilled inside where it was plenty warm and there were plenty of cousins to share the little man with!

After the pot-luck lunch, it was time for the afternoon
Stoffel family softball game. The rules are still evolving...this year there were actual "bases"...everyone gets involved.

Ella was a dutiful spectator.

Gaining speed running down hill to the game.

At several points throughout the day there were sojourns to explore the farm. The tractor shed is the big hit (surprisingly more popular than the cows with newborn calves).

Ella even got the opportunity to take Uncle Stan's truck for a spin. There were some important supplies in the bed of the truck for the softball players...

As the day progressed everyone started to run out of steam, at least the little ones did. We all packed up for the drive back to Omaha and said our goodbye's. It'll be a Monday of trains, plains, and automobiles as we head back to Seattle.
