Spring Trip to the Locks

With spring formally arriving, the activity at the locks starts to increase and the plants are starting to bloom. As we often do, the family headed that direction for an afternoon stroll.

This course of action was definitely approved by our little girl...she gets to run to her heart's content; perhaps see a salmon or two; watch the boats go to and fro; and if she's lucky, see a train cross the drawbridge! If Mom and Dad are lucky a nap is the result of all this action.

Dad tries to offer commentary, but I'd say Ella is fairly content.

Going back and forth over the "bridges" is a favorite pastime.

Here come the boats!

There's quite a hill to run down...or a mountain to climb up.
