Trip to the Dentist

Ella's first trip to the dentist was surprisingly enjoyable.   We took her to see Dr. Marks, the pediatric dentist in our area that had been recommended by many friends.   Dad stayed at home with Hank, Mom and Ella ventured out alone.  

The waiting room was decked out with fun toys and video games.  The dental assistant came out a few minutes before our appointment and loaded Ella up with a goodie bag full of tooth paraphernalia and stickers.  That was a big hit with Ella.  

Ella was very brave and sat in the chair by herself (with Baby and Ba Ba of course.)  Dr. Marks was very nice and showed Ella his shoes - Crocs with cartoon character pegs.  But because Ella doesn't watch a lot of TV - she had no idea who the characters were and pretty much thought he was crazy.  He looked inside her mouth for exactly 2 seconds and then it was over.   Ella was off with the nurse to pick out a new toy - a little airplane Mom has since fished out from beaneth the stove many times

Shouldn't all dentist waiting rooms look like this?
