Big Girl Bed

Mom decided it was time to transition Ella into a "Big Girl" bed. It was a bit of a rocky transition and in hindsight we probably should have waited until potty training was a bit further along.

After a few middle of the night visits from Ella, a gate was installed to keep her in her room. Ella is taking after Dad on her way to becoming a morning person, every morning around 5am Ella now wakes up to use the potty. After that there is a 50/50 chance of her going back to sleep. Mom refuses to get out of bed before 6:30 so Ella plays in her room for awhile and then stands at the gate chanting "Morning Mom, Ella out, Elmo, Elmo, Elmo."



Notice the amount of "stuff" in her bed. Every night Ella pulls a random assortment of blankets, bears, babies, books, puzzles, markers and other random things into her bed. After she falls asleep Mom and Dad muck out all of the stuff she has fallen asleep on.
