The End of Summer...
With the official end of summer rapidly approaching, Mom organized an outing to our local water park. In this case it's a little park in Ballard with several water sculptures, a greenspace, and a skate park located kitty-corner from another popular Ella stop...the Library (or Mama Jojo in Ella slang, titles of two of Ella's favorite books Llama Llama Red Pajama and Potato Joe). The water sculptures are a huge hit and not surprisingly the skateboarders can hold Ella's attention for a few minutes (much to Dad's chagrin). The park is also a good drop off point for Dad and daughter so that Mom can run to the local Bartells, Joann's, and beyond.
Here Dad led the way through the sprinklers in the ground. Ella actually followed for the first time! On the run...
With all the water sculptures (there is a clam, a molusk, etc), the water fountain is actually the biggest draw for all the kids. Here Dad fills up Ella's cup and bucket, so she can dump the water down the drain (most of the time) or douse the sculptures.
