All About Manhattan (Or Around)

A big day ahead, one of the many tourist activities we never treated ourselves to as residents; a Circle Line cruise around the island of Manhattan. We weren't about to let the gray skies and forecast for showers slow us down...a three hour tour was about to begin.

Mom & Ella stand in line to board.
Looks like Dad's outnumbered yet again.

Ella was all smiles, hamming it up as usual.
Dodging sprinkles everyone headed in to the cabin. Sightseeing continued unabated.

Lady Liberty out the window.

As we headed back towards the East River, we stopped for a family photo. The wind in the harbor and Ella's rambunctiousness combined for a good laugh.

Heading up the East River the sprinkles became a bit more of a steady rain. Luckily for Dad, the girls were up to their old tricks (sneaking Dad beers). It was almost time to put Ella down for a nap...so we commandeered a corner of the cabin.

FYI, Dad omitted all the photos of the island that didn't contain photos of the family and friends. After the cruise, we headed into yet another Irish pub in Hell's Kitchen for lunch.

Eventually we ended up back at Madison Square Park to let Ella run for a while. Here Dad & Ella cool off in the fountain.

Ella's view crossing 5th Avenue.

After dinner at Live Bait (Kerri's favorite) it was off to the subway

Despite a bit of noise, the trains were a big hit!
