Happy Birthday Jack - Denver Aquarium

After breakfast it was time to rally the troops for a family outing. We've begun the tradition of no work on kid's birthdays! We chose to hit the aquarium, one of the few family friendly outings we have not tackled to date. Jack has been very interested in the aquarium section of the Wildlife Experience so success seemed a foregone conclusion. We hoped for a nap on the way downtown to the aquarium, but a series of trains off Santa Fe and general excitement prevented any snoozing.

Little Man and Mom pause for a moment early on.

A future fisherman? or some innate communication?

I'd say the boys are having fun.

We could have stayed in this spot for quite some time...

The tunnel through the main tank was pretty cool, but everyone was a bit apprehensive (not nearly as nervous as the flash flood exhibit).

Notice the fish in the background that is an equivalent mass to our three children combined.

After the aquarium we hit Red Robin for lunch, which was actually more memorable to Ella and Hank. Then it was home for a nap before the remainder of the festivities.

Just guess who was stoked to help Jack blow out his one candle...4 year old blow versus 1 year old reach for the candle...a race for the ages.

A stereotypical picture maybe, but this is about as far as it went. There was a shocking amount of cake not consumed by our one year old.

After a nice taste of the frosting, it was playtime.
