Birthday Extravaganza (1 of 2)

TWO YEARS OLD!

Actually in a week or so if you are looking for the actual day. With Ella's birthday so close to Christmas, Mom has spent a lot of time planning a series of events that do not mingle directly with the holidays. As it happens, several of Ella's playgroup friends also have holiday birthdays. So we all teamed up and threw a party at the Little Gym. As the name hints, it is a gymnastic type venue for toddlers. Despite the snow and ice, we had a robust turnout including everyone from playgroup: toddlers, little siblings, Moms, & Dads; as well as a few additional friends.

Shooting hoops before the teachers start the class.

As always, we have to make sure we have everything with us at all times.

What would a toddler event be without circle time? Dad takes the lead, here helping Ella raise her hand as a birthday girl.

Mom took over for a few minutes, Hank in tow.
Off to the bars!

A little help from Dad helps Ella get some air.

Then to the balance beam...

A quick pep talk from Mom.

There is a reason we don't have too many spontaneous whole family pictures...Ella on the move, Hank asleep....Mom trying to prevent the escape.

Snack time! Ready for a challenge?

Then comes the cupcakes for the birthdays...even with Dad's reassurance Ella is a bit apprehensive.

She did get the job done...(maybe with a little help)

After the party was over each child was allocated their bag of toys. Then it was time to head home for a nap!
