Festive Holiday Weekend

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...Seattle style. OK, so we've been there and done that, but we thought we'd introduce the kids to a full fledged parade. It's not quite the grandeur of a nationally televised tromp down Broadway, but the Seattle parade has a local feel that is quite inviting. We thought it'd be wise (and memorable for Ella) to ride the bus downtown. There was light precipitation, Seattle speak for gray with intermittent sprinkles.

Dad & Ella on the bus.

Trying to get a better vantage point on the parade.

Off to the Fairmont (Old Four Seasons) to crash a high end Christmas tree auction.

After a nap it was time to go pick out a Christmas tree of our own. The boyscouts were not set up yet, so it was off to Top Banana. Yes, that's correct, we bought our tree at a banana store!

Mom & Ella confer on the right tree for our family.

There was even an attempt to solicit Hank's opinion to obtain a true consensus. Or at least Mom's attempt to get a nice picture of the kids!
Don't ask....
