Testing Our Resolve

To say the least it has been a tough week. Mom can say that thankfully everyone survived and is now on the mend. Hopefully someday when Ella and Hank have families of their own they can look back appreciate moments like these.

To begin Dad had finals this week and had been feverishly studying all weekend.

Monday was a playgroup holiday party.

Mom and Ella spent Tuesday night in the ER, Ella had fallen off a chair in a coffee shop and was diagnosed with a concussion. She woke from her afternoon nap projectile vomiting everywhere. Dad had a final that night and had to reschedule to 11:30pm that evening so he could stay with Hank while we were at the hospital. Tuesday night and Wednesday were spent waking Ella every two hours.

While Ella is on the mend Hank comes down with a cold on Thursday night. For three days and nights he will only sleep elevated while being held, Mom became a pro at sleeping while sitting up. Thankfully his fever only reached 100.0, the doctor said if it had been 100.4 we would have been back in the ER for many tests including a lumbar puncture.

Saturday was a Preschool holiday party and a trip to the doctor for Hank.

Sunday was an ice storm and Ella's birthday party - pictures to follow soon.

Mom and Dad were very happy to see the end of this week and are grateful everyone is now healthy.
