Happy 4th of July

Well, for starters, Ella has been exposed to quite a bit more foliage since moving back to Seattle. Here we were on a stroll along the Burke Gilman Trail in Fremont, following the ship canal. She has taken a liking to various varieties of leaves, some are tastier than others...

An outing to REI led to the purchase of a new backpack. Ella seems to enjoy her new perch. This was a test fitting, the initial outing was around the south end of Lake Union.

Each July 4th, there are major fireworks on Lake Union and Elliot Bay. Since we had such a choice balcony view of the lake, we invited a group of friends over to enjoy the spectacle. Ella met Adriana, Mike & Molly's little girl. Adriana and Ella weren't exactly playing together yet (Adriana can walk) but that will come in time we're sure....

Mom and Dad enjoyed the first event where they were not the only parents. Ella also basked in the attention of other Northwest friends as Cory & Vicki, Adam, Kevin, and Rob all made it over for the show.
