Back Home in the Emerald City
After 5 1/2 hours in the air (and some time on the tarmac), we checked into our home for the next two months. Ella seems to enjoy the view of Lake Union from the balcony, it has become a calming place. One major difference between Seattle and New York is the restrictions on "family friendly" establishments. Lucky for us, Duke's Chowderhouse is across the street, on a pier, and stroller friendly. Mom & Ella have spent several lunches enjoying the sun coupled with a nice lunch. On occasion Dad gets to come too.
All smiles from here...
Seattle is also closer to Enumclaw and thereby Grandma & Grandpa Bursch and Aunt Cary & DJ.
Ella was also reacquainted with the cats, though they are still calling Enumclaw home for the time being.
The home search has been fruitful as well. We put an offer in on a condo in a conversion (modernized?) building. Ella provides scale for our living room and the view to the patio.
The building is a conversion so everything is essentially new construction. Plenty of opportunities for a toddler to break in the new finishes. You'll notice construction isn't quite complete as of the offer date.
