First Snow of the Season

Our third October in Colorado and officially the earliest substantial snow of the season. Despite plenty of warning the storm was not as advertised and Dad was off to work early. The snow didn't quite stick to to the concrete but was ample on the grass. Dig out the boxes of winter clothes, jackets, hats, and gloves...

Smiles all around

We've made it down the stairs to the backyard and it is all smiles so far! Notice the snow is at least several inches in depth...

A real carrot for a nose? Must be Mom's influence.... snowman two seconds before Hank smashed the head off. Time out in the snow .... absolutely.

Dad considers his future shoveling force? OK it is a sled but awfully similar to a shovel.
