Holiday Weekend (Part II & III)

After our Saturday stroll in Central Park, we decided to spend a while relaxing there on Sunday. We meandered through the park, settling just north of the Sheep's Meadow. A few beach towels, a cooler (messenger bag), and some snacks kept Mom & Dad happy; while Ella was content playing with the grass.

Lacking a lawn, Ella enjoyed her time in the grass.

Kristi & Kerri were also riding out the holiday weekend in the city, so they joined us at the park.

After several hours at Central Park, we took a walk up to Riverside Park and the 79th Street Boat Basin Cafe. Ella was fascinated by the bucket of Corona's, the cool bottles were a great way to cool down in the heat.

Dad walked Ella around a bit, in an effort to trick her into taking a nap. The effort was unsuccessful, but Dad gave off the air of the perfect parent (see the cup holder).

The girls were enjoying the view of the Hudson and the cool breeze.

Memorial Day took us to yet another NYC park (the island is not entirely a concrete jungle). We took it easy and sauntered up to Union Square.

As always, Ella enjoys the swing...

Dad kept a great swing pace, while Mom added sound effects for Ella's amusement.

Ella also experienced her first sand. It's not exactly the beach...but she seemed to like it nonetheless.

She also has begun using Dad as a jungle gym.
