An Exciting Day
The day started out well. It was going to be hot into the mid-nineties so we headed to the park early. Ella and Hank take after their father they do not tolerate the heat well.
Along for the ride Jack was happy as ever.
We finished up with the park and headed to Costco. As always the kids split their normal churro and Hank drank half of Mom's frozen latte. Driving home we exited the freeway, Mom's car coughed and died as we pulled up to the light. Now is a good time to mention Dad was in San Francisco for training, Mom did the predictable thing and called Dad strongly reminding him that he was not there and she was stuck with three kids, groceries in ninety-five degree heat. Luckily a nice women pulled up and helped push Mom out of the way. Mom started calling down her list for someone to come and pick them up. Having just moved here the list is not very long! Thankfully Tania, Ariya and Evan came and packed up all the kiddos, carseats and groceries and drove us home. The car was towed to the shop and recieved a new alternator.
When Dad asked Ella about her day that evening she said "we went to the park and then we read a Pony book." Apparently being stranded was not momentous enough to mention.
