A Week of First's
This was a big week of firsts for Ella.
On Monday Ella and Mom went to Mom and Baby Yoga for the first time. It was part workout for Mom and part song and dance for Ella. Mom felt a little remiss since she didn't know the words to most of the songs and had trouble doing the Hokey Pokey (Motherhood seems to have erased the the difference between right and left.) The instructors gushed at how good Ella was, she was enganged for all but the last five minutes. Ella slept for 10 hours straight that night, she would have slept longer, but Mom was worried she had not eaten in so long. (pics to follow)
Ella also got her first pair of shoes.
Ella rolled from her back to her side for the first time. She now boogies around her crib at night.
On Thursday Ella had her pictures taken for the first time. This did not go very smoothly as Ella had refused to take her morning nap. When we reached the studio and got Ella changed and set up, she refused to smile. This was a bit of a surprise for Mom since Ella is usually awash in smiles. Since we were making no progress, Mom took Ella home for a nap and returned 2 hours later to try again. Yet again no smile. This time Mom tried everything, many different poses; one pose involved Mom down on the floor next to Ella; looking up a the photographer... Yeesh!! The photographer had dreadlocks, a nose ring and a moustache (it was a she!) No wonder our dear daughter was not smiling. Ella saved all her smiles for Mom when she got home. See the pictures below. Little Stinker.
