21 Weeks - Ella Gets Her Closeup
21 Week Anatomy Scan
-
Today mom went to St. Vincent's hospital for her Anatomy Scan ultrasound. Since he was impatient last time, Dad chose not to go. It was a good thing too.
-
Mom waited for 45 minutes to see the technician, she scanned mom's belly measuring and taking pictures of Ella's heart, liver, kidneys and all her little fingers and toes. Everything looked good and it was definitely a girl. The entire scan took about an hour.
-
Then the technician said Dr. Margona would be right in to review the scans and went to lunch, leaving mom all alone in the hospital room. Mom had overheard that Dr. Margona had a 2:30 meeting so she knew it would be awhile.
-
While mom was waiting the fire alarm went off, she waited for someone to come and get her but no one ever came. Mom looked into the hallway and didn't see any people, smoke or fire so went back into wait. In New York if you evacuated everytime an alarm went off nothing would ever get done.
-
After waiting 45 minutes mom got dressed and went into the hallway to find the doctor. She finally found a nurse that went to get Dr. Margona. The nurse knew Mom was about to lose it so she gave her some chocolate. We finally got the green light that everything looked good from Dr. Margona. The whole appointment took almost 4 hours.

Feed the pregnant woman chocolate to keep her quiet, it works ...
